Hello, World!
MCA Cybersecurity student at Chanakya University, building secure cloud architectures on AWS and crafting robust backend systems with Django & Flask. Passionate about bridging cloud infrastructure with security best practices.
I'm Abhilash G, a Cloud & Cybersecurity professional pursuing my MCA (Cybersecurity) at Chanakya University, Bengaluru. I specialize in deploying secure, scalable applications on AWS — from EC2 & S3 to RDS & Route 53.
With hands-on experience in Django, Flask, and REST APIs, I build backend systems with a security-first mindset — implementing proper IAM roles, firewall rules, and network security from day one.
Beyond code, I've competed in 5+ hackathons including NASA Space Apps Challenge and Bolt Hacks 2025, published cybersecurity research on System Weakness, and ranked AIR 1353 in a national coding contest.
EC2, S3, RDS, Route 53 — deployed production-grade LMS on AWS infrastructure.
Django & Flask APIs with PostgreSQL, authentication systems, and production debugging.
Network security, IAM policies, firewall config, Wireshark & Burp Suite — security by design.
Focused on building and managing scalable cloud infrastructure and optimizing system deployments.
Built ML models for a Planetary Defense Early Warning System using Python, TensorFlow, and Flask.
Deployed a full-stack Learning Management System on AWS from scratch — configuring EC2 instances, S3 buckets for video storage, RDS PostgreSQL databases, and Route 53 DNS. Set up IAM roles, security groups, and Nginx reverse proxy for production traffic, resolving authentication bugs and timezone-related issues in the Django backend.
AI-based backend system using Python and Flask for automated query handling, campus monitoring, and intelligent response generation with secure API integrations.
Flask-based web application that configures UFW firewall rules on Linux systems through a clean UI — enabling/disabling rules, port management, and live firewall status.
CNN model with Flask API to classify diseased leaves with 90%+ accuracy — helping farmers detect crop diseases early using computer vision techniques.
Feature-rich Flask weather app with glassmorphism UI, 3-day forecasts, PDF reports, smart Indian city location resolution, and real-time weather data.
Immersive NASA Space Apps Challenge entry — visualizes space missions & real-time space data with interactive UI, making space science accessible to everyone.
Professional social networking platform (LinkedIn-inspired) built for Bolt Hacks 2025 — world's largest hackathon. Features profiles, networking, and job postings.
Adaptive learning platform developed for SRUJANA 2025 at Chanakya University. Features personalized learning paths and interactive content delivery.
Linked list-based sparse matrix in Java — cuts memory usage 70% vs 2D arrays. Analyzes IPL player performance data by storing only non-zero values.
Research project using regression models to predict Genetic Algorithm outcomes for Vehicle Routing Problems — dramatically reducing computational time.
Secured All India Rank 1353 out of 10,000+ participants in the Coding Ninjas national competitive programming contest — top 14% nationally.
National Coding ContestParticipated in the NASA International Space Apps Challenge — developed innovative space exploration solutions collaborating with global teams.
International HackathonBuilt SinkedIn (professional social platform) for Bolt Hacks 2025 on Devpost, competing with thousands of participants worldwide.
Global HackathonParticipated in Code for Bharat Season 2 (Jul–Aug 2025) by Tech Masters India — developing solutions for India's digital transformation.
National HackathonCompeted in SRUJANA 2025, a 48-hour offline hackathon at Chanakya University, developing Edu-Morph with collaborative team effort.
University HackathonFirst cybersecurity article published on System Weakness — breaking down the Log4Shell exploit, its massive security risks, and mitigation strategies.
